Bachmann modules cover all types of data acquisition, from fast pulse and incremental encoder cards with bandwidths up to 8 MHz to SSI (Serial Synchronous Interface). All encoder interface modules of the M1 system offer precise synchronisability as well as comprehensive functional support for the programmer.

Counter Modules CNT204/x
The counter module CNT204/x contains four counters for single line pulse generators. Two of the channels can optionally be used as inputs for incremental encoders.

Positioning Modules ISI222/x
Especially designed for sophisticated motion control applications, the ISI222 module offers compact equipment and optimum precision. Equipped for the total control of two motion axes, the module features a number of encoder interfaces for position acquisition, analog outputs for the application of manipulated variables, as well as digital inputs for the initiator or trigger. Furthermore, due to the central communication concept, all I /Os of the remaining M1 system can also be incorporated into the motion control (limit switches, etc.). Input frequencies up to 8 MHz and the integrated synchronization (IO-Bus-Sync) with the total system allow highly dynamic and precise movements.
Beside the full compatibility to the well proven controller modules M-SMC, M-CNC and M-SHAFT, also the user own programs and individually designed control tasks can utilize the extensive integrated functions of the module simply via the known standard interfaces (SVI, MIO). The extensive integrated error monitoring with ongoing checking of the encoder resolution identifies hard-to-see wiring or ESD problems and allows the application especially under difficult environmental conditions.

Pulse Width Modulation Module PWM202
The pulse width modulation module PWM202 has two power outputs for direct activation of inductive or ohmic loads, such as DC motors, immersion coils, etc. with pulse width modulated signals.

Axis Controller Module ACR222/2
The axis controller module ACR222/2 is a encoder interface module to operate one/ two (micro) stepping motor output stages with stepper frequencies of up to 150 kHz.

Proportional Valve Amplifiers PVA204, PVA208, PVA208 CC
The modules PVA204 and PVA208 enable the direct control of proportional valves without an amplifier using a single solenoid, bipolar or dual solenoids. Up to 4 solenoids can be connected to the compact PVA204 module, and 8 solenoids on the PV208, thus up to 8 unipolar valves with a width of 55 mm. The current-regulated control means that the self heating or temperature increases of the valve solenoids do not affect the position of the valve. Up to 20 support points are provided for correcting the characteristic curve of each solenoid, thus ensuring very precise linearization.
Besides the fully configurable dither function, ramps of 0.1 to 15 s can be set. The ramp setting range allowed during commissioning can be configured in the SolutionCenter, thus preventing possible damage to the plant resulting from incorrect entries. Most parameters (characteristic curve, dither parameter etc.) can be configured directly via an application program or via the SolutionCenter or online via a web configurator. Configuration can thus be completed quickly and simply for all tasks, such as for commissioning, teleservice, adaptive adjustments or valve exchanges during servicing. The valve configurations can be stored as templates so that different valves that were preconfigured can be used in a plant.
